About

Laura is an award-winning creative image maker of over 25 years. She has exhibited internationally, curated exhibitions and collaborated with collectives and organisations.

The majority of her work is taken on 35mm cinematic film using lofi cameras, or using camera-less techniques and processes. Her interests include the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors and the mindful pace of manual image making. She explores nature in urban environments and seeks out the quiet pockets of stillness and peace within the bustle of a city. She is also interested in the impact landscape and sea has on mental and physical wellbeing - this is an ongoing exploration with her young daughters who experienced trauma early on in their lives. She likes to leave cities and come back again. She also work hands on with nature, pressing flowers and seaweed to create exposures using the sun.

Her pictures, projects and commissions have featured in The Guardian, the Southbank, ICA gallery, Tate Britain, The Independent newspaper and the New York Times. 

She lives in London with her husband James and two daughters.
